Once you hear those words, what do you immediately think of? I think of gambling, good food and the desert. Let’s see if there is more to the city, and what there is to do on a first time sugar date. Las Vegas is known as Sin City, or the City of Lights. Both with good reason and intention. It has a permanent population of over 640,000 with a nearby metro of over 2 million people. Each recent year it brings in almost close to 3 million tourists a year, making it one of the top destinations in the entire United Stated.
Most would also agree that it is one the top destination in the world for gambling - if not the top destination in the world. Entertainers would argue it is certainly the number one in the world in this field, and you would get no argument from me - where else could you see so many great acts? Well, lets do the most obvious thing to do in Vegas - the Las Vega Strip. Take a walk with your date along the boulevard and people watch as to what you and your date will do for the evening. So many choices from theatre, dinner, and other fun activities.
On your walk on the strip you will see the Bellagio Hotel, and their famous fountains. Why not plan your walk to see the light and water show they have at the fountains. A perfect start along with a great potential selfie. From there you can head on down to Freemont Street. Lots of things to see and do, with street performers, to get a good vibe going before you decide what to do on the date. One of my favorite spots to have a drink is the themed 1920 bar called naturally enough the Prohibition Bar in the Mandalay Bay complex. Hip, cool, and jazzy a great place to have a drink or two before heading out on the town together on your date.
If you and your date our adrenaline junkies may I suggest then Adeline Mountain. This is 400 acres of insane things to do. Yes, you can shoot with a sniper rifle or a machine gun! for those wanting to relive Rambo. To tame things down a bit, they also have some great off road touring you can do with your date through various vehicles in gorgeous Vegas canyons. If you want your adrenalin pumping on your date this is the place to do it. Check the calendar for times and events.
If you are still on an adrenaline rush, but you want something a bit tamer, and safer sound for your date, then why not try go cart racing. This is not any go cart racing - because when you are in Vegas, you have to do things Vegas style. They have over 50 exotic supercars on the premise to add to your fun. I have to admit the track is excellent, and the cars you get to rent for the date are top notch. A great place to spend an hour to have really good fun on your date.
If you are in the mood to taking your date out to a show - then the question begs to be asked which show - since there are so many to choose from, and some can get a bit pricey. For those who want to keep the date on a budget safe friendly level I would suggest Las Vegas: Vegas show. The prices are reasonable, the theatre is quite nice, and the show takes you back to a variety of times and shows that Vegas was famous for. Production values are high, and the reviewers and audiences love it, and you can’t go wrong here taking a date.
If you are looking for a bit of adventure on your date but at a slower pace, I would suggest Lee Canyon. You can find Lee Canyon about an hour away - which is not too bad of a distance. Here at Lee Canyon you will find outdoor terrain fairly large at 250 plus acres with a variety of things to do and see. In the summer you will find an abundance of hiking trails. In the winter you can go skiing and snowboarding. A natures paradise of things to do for your date. We forgot to add one great activity to our suggestion - and that would be mountain biking! Take a dual date ride on the trails, at your own leisurely pace and have a great time viewing Nevada's mother nature.
Still on the adventure rush, but a bit more thrilling, daring. and in the air? Why not take your date on a helicoper ride? There are numerous air operators, however, I would take the time to research which would be the best option, sice price, while a consideration - comfort and safety should be the main priorities. That means look for a helicopter with large windows for sight seeing and interior made or upgraded for your sightseeing. Not only will you see the Canyong from above, but as well as the Kaibab Forest, and the Colorado River.
To continue your tour here, ground transportation is also offered - some take the Las Vegas way and transport you deep into the Canyon with open air hummers! If you are going to go see the Grand Canyon with your date, why not make the ride down just as grand!
Speaking of transportation why not try a rafting tour of the Colorado river. You have different types of rafting tours available - from the more aggressive sport rapid ride - to the more tranquil lets see the sights on the river type tour. Since it’s a first date, I would suggest the more tranquil, sight seeing version. Roughly you’ll be on a raft that seats about 20 people, and you will go down the river in a very slow place all 18 miles of it. You'll get some phenomenal views of the Canyon, and some guides will even stop the raft and allow you to explore the areas, which is a great idea and way to spend the day.
How about heading to an amusement park in Las Vegas. There are a lot of hotels with their own theme parks, while others have one or two crazy rides that hang over their respective buildings to put the fear of god in you and your date! First, try the Linq promenade where you will find the High Roller Observation Wheel. A giant Ferris Wheel that is over 550 feet height with 28 pods to get the most amazing views of Vegas - definitely a selfie worthy moment.
If you really are an adrenaline junkie or your date, well I suggest try one of two things - both guaranteed to make your heart jump out of your chest. One would be the Sky Jump. This is where you jump off a building 830 feet above ground. Or, you can try the Big Shot. Where this catapult contraption starts at a 900 foot platform and then shoots you up another 200 feet and back down again all over the Las Vegas skyline. The kick here is the G force that is being put upon you - all 4g’s of it all the while your legs are dangling over the edge of the skyline. I would suggest have dinner or lunch after this ride not before.

It can make your dinner date much more impressionable, rewarding, and memorable.
