Androsexual and Androsexuality. What is it today in the modern world of sexual orientation and sometimes under the gender studies umbrella?

When did Androsexual originate and by whom is a very difficult question to answer. What we can say,  it is given under a certain vague sexual orientation - those that believe say that Androsexual are those that are attracted to characteristics that are male or masculine in their form. In its simplest essence, one would simply say they are attracted to masculinity and all that encompasses it.

Proponents would argue Androsexuality is different because both sexes or multiple sexes can be attracted to masculinity, and many other gender and gender identities under the umbrella. This paper will look at the newfound concept of what is androsexuality. How is it distinct from other sexes and gender identities? Any common concerns or misunderstandings by society towards it and its relevance towards those individuals who want to have a relationship as Androsexual and identify as Androsexual .

What is interesting about Androsexuality is that it is defined more broadly and greater than one would consider with masculinity that allows all sexes and all genders to have masculine attributes. Therefore, when one is attracted to a masculine attribute, this will not be contributed or attached to one particular sex or gender.

Androsexuality comes from the Greek word Andro, and this has two connotations to it.

(1) is that it’s male and

(2) that it’s sexual. Hence the word androsexuality.

Proponents would argue that sexual orientation does not include or is attracted to a sex, but rather simply to a trait or gender of masculinity. For Androsexual, there exists many and multiple characteristics that we can look at.  For the sake of brevity we will keep this much shorter and only include three key characteristics of what we see as Androsexuality and the gender spectrum.

Let us now look at the key characteristics of what they refer to in the gender spectrum as Androsexual. There are several - the first and main criteria being is when one is attracted to masculinity in all its forms. The difficulty here is in trying to define masculinity and its attraction to within Androsexual is the many multiple forms that it could take. Those same proponents say that could be any type, one or two masculine traits and a multiple of different variations. This variation can be sexual or this variation can be mental, or it could be even emotional, and primarily physical as well. In the end, the attraction in Androsexual and the traits of masculinity can take one or multiple forms.

The type of attraction to masculine identities under the gender umbrella does not contain itself with the sexuality of men, women or bisexuality or homosexuality. It goes even a step further by saying these same masculine qualities can be seen in non binary individuals. It can be seen in transgendered men and it can be seen in any human being and therefore Androsexual is inclusive for everyone and anyone and any type of gender identity. It is the sexuality for all who love masculinity and are attracted to it. There lies the beauty beauty of Androsexuality for its proponents. Sexuality is that the umbrella is huge, inclusive and fits in all masculine traits.

The third final point is what they will point to is by allowing everybody to be an inclusive umbrella. A gender umbrella that allows greater flexibility. A flexibility that brings in a new definition of what sexuality can be and what attraction can be to masculine traits. Moreover, how these traits now can be found in everyone and anyone. Androsexuality is the new modern sexual paradigm that can be found with anybody and by any one.

Let us now take a closer look to see how Androsexual differs from the more well known and common sexual orientations that we know of as heterosexuality, bisexuality and homosexuality in the attraction spectrum.

Firstly, is that Androsarchuality focuses only and primarily on masculinity. How you define that masculinity is up to the individual itself, even though there are core attributes and elements to masculinity in every gender sector. Proponents of Androsexuality. will say that homosexuals and heterosexuals are strictly defined by the type of person they’re attracted to. That means the gender, while Androsexuality has the advantage of being attracted to not only male and female, but any other kind of gender or individual who identifies under the many different types of gender, under the sexual umbrella.

Let’s take a brief look at what people misunderstand about Androsexuality. The first and primary issue Androsexuals have is that they will clearly define that their attraction is not only to men and masculinity, and it does not only exist to the male gender.

The second error made is that many people think that masculine traits and being Androsexual is that this simply is limited to a type of attraction that is sexual, which is not true. Being Androsexual means you could be attracted to someone, and sexually for their characteristics of masculine traits. This would include being romantically involved in their simple aesthetics of being masculine and also finding an emotional attraction in someone’s masculinity, whether they be male, female or any other gender.

For some Androsexuality, is truly a modern sexual definition because it throws away the preconceived notions of a past world that strikes thinks of sex, and sexuality, strictly in binary terms. Androsexuality, as mentioned before, therefore breaks this wall and transcends it to make sure that their attraction is to everyone. One must realize that in any type of relationship, there are certain elements that cross any gender spectrum. I would argue that Androsexual relationships are no different in this regard. For Androsexual  relationships to be successful, there are several issues we can look at quickly.

One would be that communication must always be open That obviously means the partner should be open to new ideas, new suggestions and be honest with each other. The second will be respect towards each other, that is mutual. The difference here is that the mutual respect and acknowledgement would have to be to the individual’s characteristics traits of masculinity. Remember, unlike other forms of relationships. partners have to be flexible in their viewpoints of masculinity. Moreover, how this is fluid amongst themselves, whether one individual or more individuals to make sure the relationship solidifies and works in the end.

Androsexuality represents a very diverse and intricate and inclusive approach to understanding attraction. By focusing on masculinity rather than rigid gender categories, it allows for a more fluid and authentic expression of desire. As society continues to evolve, embracing diverse identities like Androsexuality can help create a more inclusive and accepting world. Whether one identifies as Androsexual, nonbinary, or another term, the key is to honor and respect each person's unique experience of attraction and identity. Through education and advocacy, as well as positive representation, we can foster a culture that celebrates the rich diversity of human relationships and identities.

To conclude, Androsexuality is something new and defies its categorization, especially a more rigid categorization. Desire is not simply now on sex or gender, but rather in a particular trait, in this case being a masculine trait. What that trait is up to the individual to define for themselves. Therefore, one’s happiness now can be defined on a trait and characteristics as opposed to society and its structural norms of what gender and sex is and should be.
